Bob Buckter Color Consultant
My business is architectural color design. I have been designing paint colors for buildings since 1970, and strictly consulting since 1978, producing about 500 separate color consultations annually. I design exterior colors for apartment buildings, condominium complexes, concrete tilt-ups, shopping centers, hotels, and single family homes. I also do interior colors, often in conjunction with exterior color work. Color consultation is available by mail. Frequently I am asked to provide painting specifications, architectural suggestions, awning design and paint graphics. When required, I meet with design review boards and planning committees to obtain approval for my designs. Sometimes, clients consider a building too “dull” or unimportant to warrant color design. This can be a mistake! A carefully designed color scheme can do wonders for a formerly “dull and uninteresting” building and is a nominal addition to the cost of painting.
